On the go...

We are so busy now and I never have time to update our blog. Here is the latest on our busy little family...

Hannah just finished up her CCYB season. They had a great season and tied for first place with the other BG team in the regular season. We ran out of juice and only made it to the third round of the end of the year tournament. We only have six girls on the team and they all gave 100%!
Now we are beginning our spring season with the Heat team. We are all so excited. It is a very competitive AAU/YBOA league. We will be traveling all over our state to play other talented teams. The Heat organization has been asked to host the state tournaments the week of May 15th (Happy Birthday to daddy!), so we will not have to travel out of town for that. Hannah's coach has his heart set on winning Nationals this year, so we are looking forward to an eventful season! You can see a picture of Hannah and her CCYB team on the website http://www.ccyb.com/ They are Ball Ground 2 6th grade.

We were also very proud of Hannah when she brought home her report card accompanied by a certificate for making Merit roll!

Alex has started soccer practice for the spring already. Two teams have merged to make one powerful team. Her season will also be an action packed one! Although Alex is one of the youngest on her team, her speed and natural talent amaze us!

Alex continues to excel with her academics. She also earned the Silver Comet Award at school for the character trait of responsibility. Alex also competed in the Oratorical contest this year. Her speech won her first place in her class and she went on to compete with the other 5th graders from our school. She did a great job and didn't mess up once, but unfortunately did not win. She is also a member of the 5th grade student council and participates in the 4H club. She is a busy little girl!

And she's off! Rylee is also a very busy little lady. She has started to explore more of her own little world each day. She has been crawling for about three weeks and is now starting to pull up on anything she can. We can't believe how fast she has grown over these last 8 months. She continues to keep us all smiling with her funny faces and growing personality. It seems like she learns something new everyday! We finally received our ticket to the ENT and met with the doctor on Friday. After reviewing her records, she recommended that we pursue with tubes for her ears. We hope this will bring an end to all of those mean ear infections. The procedure is scheduled for later this month. Below is a video of her and her new bike. You can hear her funny noises and see her cute expressions. And yes that is a bruise on her head from where she fell when trying to pull up on something.

Merry Christmas

We wish you a Merry Christmas,
we wish you a Merry Christmas...

Wow, what a blessed family we are! The girls received everything that they wished for and much more, but even more important we are all healthy and happy
Rylee's first Christmas!

We think Rylee enjoyed her first Christmas. She tried to open a few of her presents, but she really enjoyed the ribbons and tissue paper.

Santa brought Alex the green camera that she was hoping for and here she is applying her make-up while enjoying her coffee in her new personalized travel mug.

Santa also brought Hannah her iPod that she has been asking for the past three years!

As always, Elmo enjoyed his gifts too!

Christmas Eve just was not the same this year. Now that Hannah and Alex are older, they are more interested in electrnics and nothing needed to be put together. I guess we'll get to start all of that fun stuff over again with Rylee! One more great reason to have such a big age gap between them.

Over the hills and through the woods to Nanny and Big John's we go...

After we opened all of our presents we went to spend time with Mommy's side of the family! It's always amazing to see how far the gifts reach out each year. There's hardly enough room for us to sit and we keep growing...

and growing...

and growing...

and growing. See what I mean!

It's always so much fun to sit around after the presents have all been opened and enjoy each others company while the cousins play with their new gadgets.

After a fun-filled day, we came home and were able to connect to Daddy's family via web cam. We were able to see the newest adition to the Starr family-baby Cooper. We are so thankful for technology!

One more day!

Christmas Eve at Nana and Papa's

Christmas Eve was so much fun. The girls were spoiled by their aunts and uncles and of course by Nana and Papa. I think the high light of the evening was when Uncle Louis thought he would test Hannah's RipStick out which ended up in a crash landing.

Oh what fun it is to...
decorate gingerbread houses
Hannah and Alex worked together to build a gingerbread house. Isnt it beautiful!

Sweet Christmas moments

Pictures with Santa

Rylee wasn't so sure about Santa. It helped to have her big sisters join her on Santa's lap. Hannah said the only reason she was sitting on Santa's lap this year was because it was Rylee's first Christmas. I wonder how I can get her to sit in his lap the next ten years ?!!!

We were taking pictures hoping for the perfect Christmas card pics.

These were the "runner-ups."

Decorating the tree

We let the girls decorate the tree this year and they did a great job!

Tis the season!

We went on our annual visit to Sperin's Tree Farm again. It's always fun to cut our own tree down!

We found a biggin'!

Daddy cut as Hannah waited to catch it...timber...

and Rylee helped!
